My heart, you have been bruised, broken, stretched, abandoned, fractured — and somehow, miraculously, you still want to love. You still soften. You still bloom. You still say “maybe” where others would say “never again.” I’m sorry for the times I asked you to stay where you were not honoured. I’m sorry for the hands that held you carelessly. I’m sorry for the stories I believed about what you deserved. But look at you now. Stronger not because you are harder, but because you are wiser. You choose differently. You listen more deeply. You open more intentionally. You are my favourite miracle — the way you break and rebuild, break and rebuild, each time more beautifully than before. I promise to protect you. To honour you. To move at your pace. To love in ways that don’t cost you yourself. You are safe with me now.

I used to carry anger toward you. Then confusion. Then grief. Now I carry nothing. You were a chapter — one that cracked me open and forced me to choose myself. Thank you for the wounds that became my boundaries. Thank you for the disappointment that became my clarity. Thank you for the heartbreak that became my rebirth. I don’t hate you. I don’t want you back. I don’t wish things were different. I simply release you. You were never meant to walk with me into the life I’m building now. You were only meant to show me what I would never again accept. And for that, truly — thank you.

To the unseen, the ever-present, the great spirit woven through every breath I take… Thank you. Thank you for the lessons disguised as heartbreak. Thank you for the redirections disguised as loss. Thank you for the blessings disguised as delays. I don’t always understand the path, but I trust the hands that guide it. You have never abandoned me. Even when I abandoned myself. You’ve spoken through synchronicities, through strangers, through dreams, through the quiet knowing in my bones. You’ve held me when I broke. You’ve softened me when I hardened. You’ve reminded me, again and again, that I am not alone and I am not without purpose. Use me. Move through me. Lead me where my soul is meant to go. I am yours. I am listening.

You came into my life quietly. At first, you felt like comfort — a soft blur around the edges of things I didn’t want to feel. You promised relief. You delivered destruction. But still… I don’t hate you. You were a doorway to parts of myself I hadn’t healed yet. You showed me the cracks in my foundation. You mirrored the emptiness I didn’t know how to fill. I chased you because I didn’t know how to stay with myself. I chose you because I didn’t know what choosing myself felt like. And when you finally broke me, you also broke me open. I’m not angry that you existed. I’m grateful that I left you. You no longer define me. You no longer soothe me. You no longer own even a corner of my life. I took my power back. I took my breath back. I took me back. You will always be a chapter in my story — but you are not the ending.
